So fellas, this week your little Hubigail has learned to wiggle fingers and toes, and make breathing movements. The ears are at the side of the head and the eyes in the center of the face. And I think that is an excellent place for them.
As for mom, her teeth and gums are the main focus of the negative. They will most likely bleed more as they have become more susceptible to plaque and bacteria. Also, there may be more stuffy noses and nose bleeds.
Weight is going to be a touchy subject. You may think it was taboo before but now you need to watch your tongue as if your life depends on it. It just might. She is going to gain weight no matter what. The ideal rate is one pound per week. If she gains half a pound one week and a pound and a half the next, that is fine. The balance at the end of the month should be four. Doesn't matter how she gets there. But, as far as you are concerned, it is none of your business. She will eat what she wants and god help you if you get in the way. Pregnant women enjoy food.

Additional or continuing symptoms may be as follows: Heartburn or indigestion, Flatulence, Bloating, Occasional headaches, Occasional faintness or dizziness, Varicose veins, Lower abdominal achiness.
The lower abdominal aches my cause some alarm on her part. I am no expert but, some of them may be very common and some may need to be checked on. If there is ever a question, better to get it checked. But apparently, a feeling as if something pops is very common. You have to figure that everything is stretching and relocating in the abdomen. Weird thing are going to occur. For instance, the appendix may move from the lower right abdomen and end up somewhere near the ribs. Unless your appendix is on the left side as we learned it can be. But that is neither here nor there. Appendicitis during pregnancy is very rare. I think it is about 1 in 1500 women. My mother just happened to be the one. I think it was about 2 weeks before giving birth to twins that she had hers removed. That landed her in the medical books.
All that aside, all you need to remember is how awesome your lady is. You also need to remember that her partner in all of this is you. You need to be there for her in every way you can. You need to be her emotional rock and her physical crutch (at times). Don't think of it as a burden. Think of it as more of a team building exercise. Go Team Hubigail!
