So, I am going to be looking at what stage of development the baby is and giving you the highlights. Here is week eleven.
Your baby is this big. I guess you can't see that I am holding my fingers roughly 2 inches apart. So, here is a picture.
Your baby has figured out how to grow hair, fingernails, and ovaries if it is a girl. If it is a boy, let's just hope they don't figure this trick out. The hands and feet are now in front of the body and has individual fingers and toes. Looks more alien, less frog alien with webbed digits. There is an open nasal passage and the ears are almost in their final shape. There is a tongue and palate in the mouth, and there are also visible nipples. (Tee hee, nipples).
Beware of burping and bloating. Help her avoid gassy foods like beans, fried foods, soda, and sweets. Good luck on the sweets part. Unfortunately, I made a huge pot of tortilla soup this week. It was almost nothing but beans. I also made an eclair cake. It was so good. However, I just did two of the things you shouldn't. The funny part is that I was the one to suffer from it.
Other things to watch out for and look forward to this week are frequent urination, breast tenderness and changes, excessive saliva, food cravings and aversions, and occasional faintness or dizziness.
So, if you are at Subway and she is being very picky about her topping while intently drooling over the cookies and doing the pee pee dance, be careful. She may be about to pass out.
